While Igor’s nephews play police commandos, eleven-year-old Patrik admires the scars of his surrogate father Peter. How can one explain to children what awaits them as Roma in Slovakian society? The film is an intimate portrait of two Roma families affected by police violence and tells of the unconscious transmission of the collective trauma of the Roma and Romnja in Europe.
